Why

Coastal and marine ecosystems are under extreme pressure worldwide due to overheating, pollution, poaching, and habitat destruction. Whether it's the loss of vital mangrove forests or the threat to endangered sea turtles, this destruction often occurs out of sight of humans. The Mermaid Project exists to restore these vulnerable ecosystems, strengthen biodiversity, and fund concrete, local solutions.

Impact

This includes funding the planting of 1,000 new mangroves in Kenya, a project that is run and led by local women.
